OSRUI!!!!!! Wondering about OSRUI? Do you have questions? Well I am going to share what I think about camp and it might be able to help you answer those questions. I have been going to camp for four years and this year will be my fifth. The reason I love camp is because you get to make a lot of new and amazing friends, You also get to do sports (such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, etc.) and a lot of fun activities like: swimming in the pool, climbing the “Etgar tower” (a tall, challenging climbing activity), horseback riding and more. You also get to pick your unit - there is an art unit, adventure unit, and many more! To me when I think of camp, I think of home. OSRUI has always been another home for me because when I am there with all my friends, we feel like a family becoming so close with one another. The staff is also amazing, the counselors, directors, song leaders, you name it! They are all so amazing as well. OSRUI is just a magical place that people fall in love with, whether you have been going for a while, or if it is your first year you will love it! Everybody fits right in; there is no odd guy out at this camp. The water front is also very fun - you can go water tubing, canoeing, water skiing and more. Shabbat is also a very big deal. The whole camp gets together for a nice Shabbat dinner (everybody dresses up), and after dinner we go into “Port Hall” (a place at camp) and we sing, and our director (Jerry K.) tells a story. You also have cabin night which is you get entire night to do what your counselors have planned for just you and your cabin (including your counselors). OSRUI is one of the most amazing places I know of. It is probably my favorite place. I love going every summer with my friends, doing all the activities while enjoying Shabbat! There is so much more - I could go on and on and on (well you get the idea). I have three words for OSRUI: I LOVE OSRUI!!!!! Hope you will come and join the fun with us this year at OSRUI. Let One Happy Camper Help You Send Your Child to OSRUI This Summer If this is your child's first or second year at OSRUI for three weeks or more, you may be able to receive a grant from the FJC as part of their One Happy Camper program.
