National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods is making a difference. We, on a national basis, and at Temple Chai, are working to make better men and better Jews. Our goal for over 80 years has been to increase the participation and involvement of Jewish men in the Reform Movement. Our sacred tradition through Temple Chai is being involved in youth and adult education as well as many social action and service projects whether it be constructing the Sukkah or sponsoring blood drives.
NFTB has over 200 affiliates with 25,000 members. Temple Chai Brotherhood is the largest Brotherhood in the mid-west region (Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana) with close to 400 members. We intend to continue providing meaningful services to our congregation. We are finding that our members are experiencing greater identity, involvement, and inspiration in their lives.
Our dues sponsor the Reform on Campus Program, Jewish Chautauqua Society, the Achim Corps Program, the Walking Together Program, the Yom Hashoah Yellow Candle Program, and the Machon Program in the former Soviet Union.
For more information, contact Bruce Wittert, membership VP. Bi-monthly board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM at the temple. You are cordially invited to attend.
