Caring Community
The Caring Community is comprised of a group of dedicated and caring Temple Chai congregants. The mission of this group is to assist our family of congregants in times of need as well as to help celebrate their mitzvahs. We want to let our members know that their temple family is thinking of them and is here to help when they are faced with difficult challenges. Some mitzvahs that we perform include sending condolence cards, sending a “cheer me up" plant and visiting congregants in the hospital, providing meals for a family during a prolonged illness, delivering Remembrance Baskets during the High Holidays for those who have recently lost a loved one, providing transportation to doctor appointments, services, and programs at the temple, and sending congratulatory cards for births and marriages. If you would be interested in joining this very fulfilling committee, or would simply be interested in driving or cooking, please contact Cindy Kaplan.

NW Suburban Jewish Networking Group
Mondays (2x a month), 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
During these challenging economic times, Temple Chai is pleased to be working together to host professional networking support meetings twice a month on Mondays. The meeting location rotates among the four synagogues. Members provide information and discussion on Job Hunting in the 21st Century. share "war stories", interview tips, and circulate information on job sites, other networking groups and open postings. Industry speakers attend various meetings to help our members learn what the business world is like in today's environment and how best to handle the challenges they face. We are always looking for speakers / presenters to attend the group. We have had speakers in the past on networking, resumes, recruiting, interviewing, finances, etc. If you can offer skills, advice or guidance or any similar topic, we are open to learning about anything that will provide further information to assist our members in negotiating their job search. For more information, contact Linda Kesselman at lkesselman3600@gmail.com. The group is sponsored by Congregations Beth Am, Beth Judea, Or Shalo and Temple Chai, JCYS Northwest Family Center, and the Jewish Vocational Service.
